NORTH DAYI MP, JOYCE LYNN TETTEH SUPPORTS OVER 800 FORST YEAR SHS STUDENTS.

The Member of Parliament for North Dayi, Hon. Mrs Jocelyn Tetteh Quarshi, has assisted 800 students who successfully completed the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and have been placed in different Senior High Schools (SHSs).

In addition, plans are being made to offer skills training for students willing to learn.

The MP’s initiative, “Going To School With Joy,” focuses on supporting students in her constituency, including those in the Wusuta, Tsoxor, Botoku, and Tsrukpe Aveme areas.

According to the MP, she is not doing this because she is seeking a reelection but because she understands the plight of parents in this difficult economy.

"I am not doing this because of my reelection but I do this every year for JHS graduates who have been assigned to various SHSs. I also understand times are hard and this is my little effort to support parents in this hard economy" she added.

Some of the support items included chop boxes, exercise books, and maths sets. Food and toiletries include gari, sardines, sugar, buckets, sanitary pads, toilet rolls etc.

One of the parents who's son is a beneficiary of this initiative expressed utmost joy and thank the MP for her benevolence. "Hon. Jocelyn has been doing this every year since she became an MP, and this year was my turn for my son to be supported. We thank her so much and we pray she wins this election to continue supporting us". She expressed.

Some selected students additionally received mattresses for excellent performance while each of the 800 students received Gh¢50.00 for transportation.

The Failed Vice Presidents of Africa with the same rhetorics.

Ruto as Vice President, said he's not in charge of the wheels to either abolish or reduce taxes for Kenyans so promised to do so when elected president subsequently.

Consequently, Uhuru Kenyatta imposed him on Kenyans amid electoral challenges and public disenchantment from the electorates.

Ever since Ruto became president, already existing taxes have been doubled, others tripled and many more obnoxious taxes have been introduced.

It took the radical approach of the over one (1) million young people of Kenya to protest daily which has unfortunately claimed lives and destroyed many state properties including the Kenya Parliament to get him to rescind his decision to pass the Killer Finance Bill 2024.

The French nations have experienced similar corrupt, wastage and overburdening the taxpayer with more unreasonable taxes through extreme circumstances such kidnapping, assassinations and coup d'etat.

The wind of oppressive resistance seems to have been blowing across the English speaking African countries.

In Ghana, we have a vice president who is the head of the Economic Management Team, who was once portrayed as the economic messiah to turn the fortunes of our country and determines the progress and development of our dear nation through his economic prowess.

Seven (7) and half years down the line, this same person has come back telling us he is only the vice president and has no executive powers to sanction certain policies and initiatives. How convenient?

Today, the vice president of Ghana just like his brother Ruto of Kenya whom he attended his inauguration as the President of Kenya, is telling Ghanaians to vote for him to become the President of Ghana before he can reduce evilly taxes and abolish some.

Dear young Ghanaian, just take a look at what's happening in Kenya under the watch of a former vice president who made same funny claims as ours and advice yourself accordingly.

We should not wait to get to the point where precious lives have to be sacrificed through public protests just to register our displeasure in the rots and ills of a president who had already failed woefully as a vice president.

A word to the wise, is certainly enough.

In an event hosted by Former President John Mahama in Accra yesterday, he outlined the numerous measures that can be put in place as a matter of urgency to save Ghana's economy.

Notable amongst these solutions are;

Suspension of non- essential projects.

A greater transparency in public procurement.

Re- visit operation feed yourself.

Leveraging the energy and petroleum sector.

Government must stop collateralizing statutory funds for the purposes of taking in more loans.

Together we stand, divided we fall. With this school of thought at the center of his presentation, the visionary leader called on the entire citizenry to help save mother Ghana's collapsed economy.

 "while responsibility for the difficulties we face lie with Akuffo Addo and Bawumia's government, there are things we can do as citizens in our own small way to minimize the suffering we are going through and help government turn the situation around" he said.

According to him, as citizens;

we need to acquire and sustain a taste and preference for locally manufactured products. 

Cut down on non- essential foreign travel and expensive foreign products in our homes.

" let us consciously eat more of our local foods like yam,local grains like maize and rice, cassava, beans local fruits and vegetables" he added. He gave the "Gobɛ Eaters Association" a thumbs up for "eating" Ghana. This way we reduce the pressure on our own currency and boost domestic production to create a win-win  situation.

The people's manifesto of NDC in 2020 has these policy proposals and more and the NPP government is free to adopt it for the general good of Ghana.

We are in crisis! In building the Ghana we want,we must all put our heads together.Our very lives as a people are at stake.

"We must boldly,even if for the first time,discard the arrogance of power and don the cloak of humility,come together,confront our reality,face the truth,accept our fault and act" he said.

Ghana Police - Arise Ghana Demonstrators drama, a grounds rehearsal for election 2024?

By now, every serious political party aiming at winning 2024 general elections should be having sleepless nights crossing their T's and dotting their I's whiles doing some serious thinking about their fortunes at the next polls.

The drama at the recent Arise Ghana demonstration is undoubtedly a snapshot of what 2024 election is going to be like, take it or leave it.

You can decide to comfortably blame protestors for attempting to breech routes dictated to them for all you want, do not however deliberately forget that several reports indicated that efforts were been made by both known and unknown hands within government to stop the demonstration entirely. So when they failed even after attempting to use the court, a resort to the usual police brutality became the order of the day.

The police kept saying they've been given strident orders from "above" to prevent demonstrators from using a particular route to present their petition to the president. Who is that person at the ABOVE? Is it God or Allah? Jesus or Mohammed? Your guess might not be far from right.

In 2020, opposition political parties went to war with toothpicks, cup of tea without biscuits, comfortable slogans of flipping and flopping whilst their opponent went to the battlefield with guns, ammunition, military and police personnel armed to teeth etc.

Someone who was seeking reelection didn't shy to be horrendously violent and claimed seven innocent lives to retain his seat and no one got punished for all those murderous acts.

This same person has openly declared that under no circumstance will he hand over power to any opposition party and the same leaders of opposition parties are walking around, behaving and acting like "Mama Ba" and "Dada Ba" hoping to win 2024 election with such approaches because this government has failed woefully with distinction...... This is a joke of all ages!

This person we are talking about is synonymous to violence, he is exceptionally tyrannical, a benevolent dictator and has no respect for human rights and dignity so how do you treat such a person like you're dealing with either a Catholic priest or a Pentecost elder?

If any political party want to win 2024 election, they must really sit up, stand up to match up. As it stands now, there's no party that seem ready to match the brutal style of Ghana's Idi Amin because 2024 election will not be a joke taking a clue from the happening at the just ended Arise Ghana 48 hour  demonstration.

PRAY FOR UKRAINE & THE WORLD

As a student of International Politics & History, I have at least gathered lead ups to the current Ukraine-Russia impasse.

I honestly do not bother about who is right or wrong. The most important thing for me is that, regardless the full ranges of egoism, pompousness and power drunk positions at play there must be a compromise for peace and tranquility to prevail to enable precious lives and properties saved.

Intriguingly, it is the external forces who in the name of 5G,7G NATO whatever fueling this fracas who will enjoy the spoils at the expense of innocent Ukrainian citizens and foreigners.

I pray that, the God that delivered the Israelites from the hands of the Philistines shall deliver the Ukrainians from any externalities.

The world need peace!

NIGHTBIRDE, THE ANGEL IS GONE!

America's Got Talent remains one of my favorite shows. As a lover of music, last year it was such an exhilarating yet surreal moment & feeling watching Jane "Nightbirde" Marczewski sing passionately regardless of her then current predicaments. Simon Cowell's golden buzzer was enough attestation that Nightbirde was an angel.

She sent a very positive message to the world in her famous quote "you can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy".

Life will never be easy so everyone is reminded to make the best they can out of it by neither denying the challenges of today nor the hope for tomorrow.

I'm more than convinced that Nightbirde isn't dead, her beautiful soul hovers in the skies smiling and cheering up everyone who is facing any kind of life treating condition, fighting secret battles and anyone thinking of giving up the ghost.

For some strange reasons I've not been able to gather enough strength to write anything since her painful demise from this wicked world.

I do not only want to wish her farewell, but I want to equally celebrate her for being truthful, real, passionate and leaving a letter of hope and encouragement to the world.

May she transit to the next world in peace & tranquility until our final journey to our destination. 👏🙌🙏

LOST PRIORITIES; THE CHURCH AND THE GOVERNMENT.

This evening, I'd wanted to write on the idiosyncrasies of the supposed National Security Operatives and the heightened level of media and journalists attack over the past few years. However, something striked my cords and quickly motioned my thoughts to what I described as a LOST PRIORITY. I'd want to tackle it first.

The government through the divine promise of  H.E #4MoreToFixYourself is building a National Cathedral for the church whereas the church is also building PRISONS for the gov't. I mean the church is building an incarceration center for people who are either culprits or victims of varying degrees of offenses.

Meanwhile the "poorest of poor" individuals are found in the church. Each now and then, they're made to believe that God blesses a cheerful giver and Heavens will open for them for a strong wind of change will whisk them into the land of bountiful hence, they give out their widows might. They pay offerings, pay tithes, sow seeds and help in raising funds for the church.

There are always a nirvana of church members who can not afford even a two square meal per day for their families but they always manage to get money for the church because of their strong-willed belief in that exercise of giving.

There are many church members whose children have excelled in either BECE or WASSCE exams but are sitting home because their parents do not have the financial muscles to further their education. These same churches have schools yet these poor folks cannot afford it. Yet, again, when all these resources of the poor are gathered in the church, they use the monies for a lot of things that do not directly inure the interests of the poor in the church. They rather invest in very wasteful ventures and a lot of lost priorities.

 The gov't needs schools, hospitals, clinics, good roads, portable drinking water etc for the citizens who are saddled with unbearable taxes. Government is even worst when coming to setting priorities for citizens.... When citizens get aggravated by the injustices, high cost of living, lack of necessary infrastructure, get disenchanted with the government and try to register such displeasures through #FixTheCountryNow, gov't will nauseatingly ask the citizens to fix themselves. 

The church building a prison for the government is, in my view, a very wasteful venture and a lost priority.. Christianity is not about such stuff it's about helping the people to smile, love, care, learn and to get closer to God.

Just Imagine, Ghana on the path of self destruction.

 Wherever you may find yourself now, let's just have a quick reflection of something.

Just imagine the current crises happening under another regime.

Just imagine the occultic erratic power supply (Dumsor), excessively high new tax rates, several fuel increments, injustices at the law courts, suppression of freedom of the media, institutionalised corruption and a host of many other issues.

Just imagine a country whose current state is so uninspiring to the extent that we spend 49.50% of state revenue on payments of interest on loans which is far higher than the 41.84% of revenue paid as either compensation or salary to employees. 

Just imagine what would have been the spinning techniques of the media who have been direct victims of such sociopolitical incongruities, the sermons of some renowned "Men of God" (clergy), the prayer topics of Agloo International, the propaganda of other political parties and even the incessant attacks from the ordinary Ghanaian.

Just imagine the reactions of some so called Celebrities, the musical punchlines from some arrogant and pompous artists (even from those who have outlived their essence in the industry) . Just imagine the unprovoked insults, organised demonstrations led by some so called "good governance" advocates using rented crowds, the "seductive" political commentaries from some self-made Think Tanks and self-styled governant experts or political analysts .

Just imagine the current socioeconomic, cultural and political mishaps. Just imagine how the aforementioned groups or entries especially the media have abetted in propagating the Spiral of Silence of this current regime.

Just imagine how pathetic it is that even the media cannot speak of the ills of this regime.

Just imagine how for obvious reasons, the likes of Manasseh Azure Awuni and many great and hitherto vociferous journalists have now either become Global Peace Ambassadors or Motivational Speakers.

Just imagine why everyone is silent. Is it for the fear of their precious lives or the fear of losing one's means of livelihood? To assuage their hunger and master's will? Just imagine. 

Did you just say it's deliberate HYPOCRISY? Just imagine.

Who just whispered that this HYPOCRISY will send the nation to the point of no return? Just imagine.

To The Court of Public Opinion:

To think that the Ghana Police/Military do not know of any less dangerous crowd dispersal method than murderous ones especially crowd shooting, is not only shameful but disturbingly worrisome..

Sadly often, the famous question being asked by some individuals who unfortunately perceive themselves omniscient, hence having superior thinking capacity remains "who sent them there"?

Even at polling stations when supposed officers of the law shoot unarmed citizens, you'll definitely get a crop of fool- soldiers to query victims.

I am not too sure if it is a crime for individuals to have keen interest in who they choose to become their leaders. I am again not so sure if it is against rule of law for citizens to have peaceful demonstrations to register their utmost displeasure in a particular national issue.

If that's the case, then they should equally question the journalists, independent, local and international observers who sent them to these same scenes to observe the processes.

Primarily, the presence of the security forces whose salaries are being paid with our taxes, give assurance of safety to voters and protestants. So therefore people mounts interest to become part of such processes taking into consideration of how peaceful previous elections and picketing have been.

So when it turns out that the presence of the former rather poses great threat to citizens, then the institution and the system must be questioned not innocent unarmed citizens.

Such continuous bad news greeting both local and international news outlets are gradually fading out our long preserved democratic credentials and negates our maximum efforts at consolidating our gains in sustaining peace, stability and progress.

Instead of pinpointing the enemy antics, the first port of call must be finding out the causative agents in this crises and prescribing appropriate medication to remedy the issues, both lurking and overt.

Until then, let stop blaming citizens for being victims of police and military (deliberate or mistaken) unprofessionalism.

The media is not a repository of all knowledge, it's bound to making mistakes.

In my four years in the journalism school, if I were even a lazy student, there were two key principles of journalism I knew were do withouts.

The most essential has to do with fact checking and checking again principle that's necessary for accurate publications.

I learnt secondly that, when a media house get something wrong, it does not come attacking its audiences of their independent observations and commentaries. Invariably however, it upholds it journalistic standards of core principles to accepting to have committed errors by circumvention of issues or amendment of situations and apologize accordingly. 

The football adage that "the best way to defend is to attack" does not have a resting place in journalism.

The fact that the media is said to have been the fourth estate of government does not presupposes its infallibility. The media just like the Electoral Commission is certainly bound to making mistakes.

Therefore the speed at which it embraces applausdy, commendations and awards, must not be different from one that they must use to receive criticisms and a few backlashes for poor work done on few occasions.

Accepting one's mistakes does not kill nor apologizing hurts.

Electoral Commission of Ghana must thread cautiously.

Regulation 47 (3) of the CI 127 establishes that all documents and records pertaining to the 2020 elections must be retained and preserved for a period of one year, unless otherwise directed by a court of competent jurisdiction.

Any other action contrary to this will not only be illegal and criminal but will cast deep shadow of doubts over the integrity and true independence of the Electoral Commission, in tandem the just ended declaration of 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary results.

It will only leave many objective minds and observers wonder while questioning the ulterior motive, intention and purpose of such premature decisions when it's only five (5) days since the election results were declared.

A referee, just like in football, has many ways of showing bias towards the other team. It could be through infringements, showing of cards and deliberate punishment such as penalties.

However, what has not been chronicled about such biased referees is personally scoring  goals  to give victory to the side of the team they are, It has never happened.

This analogy presupposes that even biased referees are expected to be smart and intelligent while being objective pretentiously.

The continuous chameleon lifestyle of the EC is gradually becoming an incumbrance to our national peace and stability looking at the nirvana of challenges it poses to our democracy.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

Some months past, when George Floyd was strangled to death, my mother Ghana become Chief Mourners.

Ghanaians including the Government of Ghana (GoG) joined a global campaign including #BlackLivesMatter, #JusticesForFloyd #EveryLifeMatter etc. As a nation we have joined cords with many other nations to seek for justice for either innocent lives lost or cruel treatments meted out to any individual or a group of people anywhere around the global village.

The GoG under the stewardship of the Commander In Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, His Imperial Majesty; His Excellency the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo organized a state sponsored memorial in honor of George Floyd.

The event, even though received severe backlash from many Ghanaians due to the huge amount of money purported to have been spent, the President "collected his name" as he was recognized by several global media outlets and acknowledged at the main funeral ceremony of Floyd.

Fast forward, on the 7th of December 2020, Ghanaians went to the polls to exercise one of their essential fundamental human rights, to exercise their franchise; to decide who leads them in the next four years.

Along the process, Five (5) individuals who were unarmed Ghanaian citizens were SHOT DEAD by Ghanaian Military. Their offence is that they wanted to protect their sovereign rights and make sure their voices are heard through the ballot counts.

Worrisomely, it seems these souls are not enough to be lost so to demand for outright justice.

As I write, not even the Government of Ghana or the President who thought it wise to organize a memorial for one single soul lost far away in the United States has uttered a single word over this disturbing circumstance.

We have a lazy group called National Peace Council, Ghana who are behaving like everything is normal, shamelessly preaching peace without seeking justice.

The least said about the media the better. This is the only time the Ghana Journalists Association has found their loud voice to bemoan over attacks but have remained deaf and dumb when time past their members were physically assaulted under this same government. The media has done absolutely nothing to seek for justice for these 5 Ghanaians whose only crime was to protect their votes. For biases of the media, you may be my guest.

We equally have a charade of Ghanaian populace who unfortunately describe themselves as NEUTRALS. They are everywhere jumping and singing praises that this elections has been the most peaceful, free and fair. Perhaps, when their relative becomes a victim of such selective injustice, they'd speak out, until then let's accept them sitting on the fence but with interests.

Brothers and Sisters, our nation, without any modicum of doubt is set on the path of retrogression and backwardness.

Just like the George Owens Animals Farm, some humans are more human than others, some are more Ghanaians than others depending on which part of the country you hail from, which tribe you belong to, who you know and on which side of the political divide you are aligned to.

Martin Luther King was right to have said , "those who allow evil to go only become accomplices to it".

But the day of reckoning is far approached. The people shall rise and seek for justice by whichever means possible and available to them and its denouement may be such that we can not anticipate as a nation..

Justice delayed is justice denied!!!

Our democracy has come a long way to be distorted.

In no point in time should unarmed citizens be shot dead, not even on election periods when stakes are so high and candidates bent on winning at all cost.

It is completely backwardness and a smack on our long preserved democratic credentials to have innocent souls slaughtered for power thirsty individuals to cling unto power, by fair or foul means.

Our forefathers paid greatly to lay down a peaceful and non destructive cords of an impeccable democratic lines that's foreshadowed to transcend through our generation and to the last before the four cardinals of the earth are folded.

It must be noted that democracy just like a machine is bound to be faulty. When it happens, we must not resort to guns, fist and blood sheds in it's resolution. There are properly laid down processes in addressing such lapses.

The myraid of attacks, violence and thuggery meted out to citizens at the just ended 2020 elections is not only sad but terrifyingly embarrassing.

The powers that be, the masterminds and orchestrators of such barbaric acts won't go without punishment, it may be today or tomorrow. The precious blood of all these innocent souls are stained on the hands of blood thirsty candidates. Their blood would demand for justice either in this mortal life or the next to come.

These acts are very gross and must be condemned by all and sundry.

No sane person must be seen or heard defending such incongruous and wicked acts. If anyone does, the fellow must be given an immediate medical attention.

These are sad moments for our beloved country.

And may the blood of the innocent rise at the rise of the sun till it set to demand for justice!

Democratic Forum mourns H.E Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings.

It was with heavy hearts and pensive mood when we received the ever shocking news of the sudden demise of H.E Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings.

Until his transition, President Rawlings was the Chairman of the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC), became Chairman of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC) in 1981, founded the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and was the first President of the Fourth Republic of Ghana.

He goes down in memory as someone who fought endlessly for social justice and the principles of probity and accountability. As a Pan-Africanist who believed in the African project of reuniting and liberating the continent from the shackles of imperialism and oppression, he stood and fought for those principles to the latter.

All of us at the Democratic Forum, a non profit institution that's focused on championing the cause of quality but affordable education, youth development and good healthcare delivery, sends our most heartfelt condolences to the former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, the immediate family, former workers, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the good people of Ghana and the entire world.

Indeed, we shall never forget his immense contributions to the cause of Ghana, Africa, and the World. His words and actions should be immortalized.

Ghana has lost a hero!

Rest in eternal glory Papa, until our final journey to our eternal destination.

WIND OF CHANGE!

There's a wind of CHANGE blowing across the globe... Those changes won't come by itself like manna falling from the Heavens.... Arrest and prosecute Secessionists, if gov't's hands are clean.

Whenever there's a very essential national discourse under deliberation, that's when the so called Secessionists and their allies rear their ugly head.

It is now crystal clear that this is a decoy and well crafted orchestrations by some crooked and coward elements within the the structures of National Security to always steal away attention from national matters.

If your guess is as good as mine, you'd come to terms that these are part of the plots to justify the heavy military presence within those territories during the voter registration exercise.

If we should play by the devil's advocate role, we can without any modicum of doubt foreshadow a possible new military deployment and further, the chains of curfew placed on the necks of people within those communities as electioneering period draws nigh.

If rule of law and it's enforcement protocols haven't been mortgaged for self aggrandizement and parochial gains, such groups should be arrested and prosecuted with immediate effect, for they're criminals and nation wreckers.

Let's not be blind by political gains and be hiding behind government machineries to cause harm, but approach every issue with a sense of nationalism.

This is a national subterfuge with political motivations, its needless!!!

Around the world, young people have played a crucial role in a multitude of social and political movements and transformations.

With a retrospective glance at passionate young people from any era, you'll find impressive catalysts for change.

When we look at some of the most powerful movements or protests across the globe, it's evident that they were fueled by young activists who're poised at both socioeconomic and political circumvention.

From the Parkland Students to the Arab Spring, teenagers and young adults have an undiluted history of pushing for social change.

The Civil Rights Movements (Alabama Marches), the Arab Spring, the Vietnam War Protest, the Tiananmen Square (pre-democracy Movement) and the Indigenous Water Rights Protest for instance. These are at least the five(5) most powerful movements or activism fueled and anchored on the tenant of Youth readiness, determination and strive to restore human dignities.

Currently, Ghana has a young age structure, with approximately 57% of the population under the age of 25.

This age structure denotes more than half of the entire Ghanaian population falls within the category of “Youths”.

Significantly so, it suggests that whatever decision the government of the day takes through policy implementation, it directly affects us more than the others in the age structure.

Intriguingly, it has however been quite unease for many political parties to directly engage the Youth of this nation in drafting their Manifestos and other key policy documents.

As it stands now, the two major political parties in Ghana i.e. the NDC & the NPP have launched their Manifestos.

This is the time for us to come together as young people and sit at the table of reasoning where patriotism, sense of purpose, love for nation and the urgent need for youth development overflows.

The dawn of Election 2020 draws nigh and it's our “call-to-duty” responsibility to critically examine, analyze and peruse both Manifestos. There's therefore the need to among other factors consider which of these two policy documents is geared towards JOB Creation, ACCESS to Primary Health Care, support for Private, Tertiary & TVET Education, support Ghana's Entrepreneurial Spirit, Small & Medium Scale Enterprises, Legalize and Regulate other means of Transportation, Youth Development, to invest heavily in Infrastructure Development and allows All-inclusive Governance to thrive.

With this, we would be able to embrace the political party that truly has the interests of young people at heart, to consider which Manifesto outlines key policy initiatives to transform the lives of young men and women and finally endorse the political that appreciates the fact that young people are the catalysts for our future's breakthrough in technology, innovation, artificial intelligence, agribusiness, finance, telecommunication, cybersecurity, anti-terrorism and nation building.

I couldn't have agreed more with Micaela Iron Shell-Dominguez, when she emphatically said “The Youth Are Tired Of Thinking They Don't Have A Future”.

This is our time, let's take up the moment and make the best out of it.

Let's make decisions that's best for our future and generation yet unborn would be proud of. Decisions that would neither shutter our dreams nor truncate our ambitions but those that would bring us joy, prosperity, peace and tranquility.

THE PRODUCTS OF A POISONED TREE; THE STUDENTS IN FOCUS.

As a nation, we need serious educational & institutional reforms to clean up the mess created.... With what is happening currently in our SHSs, the sad rhetorical question we need to ask ourselves is that, is this not the actual reflection of our current societal and institutional realities?

Taking bribe is considered normal, when journalists bring to light judges who accept inducements (supposed gifts) to compromise on rulings on sensitive issues, they're persecuted for which some have to run into exile & those who fell prey to the system got murdered....

When young people openly insult sitting and even former officers of state, it's considered opposition and when party or gov't Militia groups or Vigilantes assault, brutalizes and intimidate innocent citizens, authorities remain mute like they're deaf and dump!

This is the end product we're currently harvesting as a nation... The gross misconducts of these SHS students....

The sad reality... The ills of our society and nation....

(Punishments to students)

14 students who were identified in various incidents to have insulted the President or other school authorities were have been dismissed and going to be disallowed from partaking in the rest of the WASSCE exams...

In as much as I do not condone with the indisciplines of the students, I however hold an entrenched opinion that the decision to expel & disallow them from partaking in the rest of the WASSCE exams is arbitrary and one in bad faith.

I believe there are many punishments available to have been given to such irresponsible students who may only have been apprentices of a crooked society that has lost scope in its good moral fibres, to reform them... But certainly not punishments that will truncate their future ambitions regardless the justifications....

This boils down to the fact that, there must be a conscious effort at having a national conversation on educational reforms and institutional reconstructions......

The educational issues must be tackled from its root cause........

May we build a future that those after us would be proud of and be grateful to us.....

AKUFFO ADDO IS A HYPOCRITE AND COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF THE VIGILANTE (INVISIBLE)FORCES

Many people have severed various levels of injuries whilst others have lost their precious lives as a result of military & militia brutalities & molestation meted out on innocent citizens who wanted to protect their citizenship by registering for the New Voter ID.

Up till now, the president of republic "His Royal Majesty" the President hasn't uttered a word....

Predictably, we know he would tweet long thesis hopefully tomorrow to commiserate with #Lebanon for the unfortunate #LebanonExplosion .

We're not saying he's not right to do so, but that will only amount to sheer hypocrisy, open endorsement of the tyranny of the military intimidations and lack of respect for the people of Ghana.

When history recounts of your greediness, recklessness & wickedness towards your fellow humans and nation, your descendants would struggle to make you relevant in the eyes of younger generations by altering the history...... Today is Founder's Day..... People are fighting for non-exising recognitions.....

Think about it..

WE'RE NOW LIVING IN THE ANIMALS KINGDOM.

For the name politics, we're gradually losing our sense of reasoning & purpose... We're literally living in the Animals Kingdom where survival is dependent on who's most fit.

In our instance, it's about who has no shame & conscience to trumple upon another to claim either superiority or rise to the apex.

It's about who can malign the other to claim nationality or citizenship over the other to show they're more Ghanaian than others.

Due to our divergent views over political ideologies of which many do not even understand the one they myopically follow, your fellow countryman can look at the sun back to your two eye balls to proclaim you're not a Ghanaian.

MCE for Ketu South, Elliot Edem Agbenorwu for political expediency sake just like many others, feels he's more Ghanaian than his very own kinsmen. As a result, he feels he's at the best position to determine who is a citizen or not, most offensively among his fellow countrymen.......

Fellow young men and women, this is the ills we must fight with a united front. So that our sons and daughters would not be told,some years to come, that they aren't Ghanaians by their fellow tribesmen.

This is why we must all step out in our numbers, to register and help others register as well. Since this is going to be one of the sick logics of being recognized a Ghanaian and have the opportunity to exercise our franchise come December 7.

Let's be each other's keeper, until we all win!
